Tea as The Easy Option

Consuming plant foods for their health-giving properties is an effective way to improve the general state of a person’s nutritional intake. Plant foods contain high amounts of antioxidants, and are also generally alkaline forming foods, and this makes them an important part of any healthy diet. However, many people struggle to eat plant foods as they are accustomed to a Western diet which is high in processed meat and fat. To such consumers plant foods can at first appear bland and uninteresting. One strategy to significantly improve the diet with minimal effort is to consume large amounts of tea. Drinking tea liberally throughout the day can supply significant amounts of antioxidants to the diet and this can lead to significant health improvements. Those who regularly consume tea have been shown to be significantly less at risk from dementia, cardiovascular disease and cancer. That is not to say drinking tea provides all the benefits of a high plant food diet. But it can be a significant stepping stone to gradually moving in the direction of a more balanced intake of healthy nutrients.
