Antioxidant Cocktail – A Simple Recipe

berries yoghurt

Poor frozen berries into a bowl. Add a few table spoons of live yoghurt. Then sprinkle cinnamon and ginger over the top. The berries and spices provide a number of potent antioxidants (berries  = anthocyanins, ginger = ginerol, cinnamon = proanthocyanidins and cinnaldehyde), that also have anti-cancer effects. The yoghurt provides probiotics (e.g. Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacteria) for gut health and immunity.
